History | Adrian was beaten to death by his sister Elizabeth, after she was compelled by Katherine Pierce to forget, but no one else knew was that Katherine had given Adrian a dose of her own blood, and once he reached the Morgue, he had turned and killed the coroner and fully transitioned into a Vampire.

Overall Personality | Adrian seems like a normal person, that is when he's around Humans, but it's all an act. He does that to lure them in and then once they let their guard down, Adrian drains them of their blood until there is nothing left. He tends to think highly of himself, because that is what Russell Edgington told him how Vampires should act because they are supposedly better then any other being on the Planet. Andrew however, can be easily defeated if someone can read him right (Usually older Vampire or other Supernaturals who challenge.)

Overall history | Adrian Salvatore was thought to have been killed by his younger sister, Elizabeth, but before he was killed, Katherine gave a little of her blood to him by compelling him to drink it. Once he had died, he had woke up in the Mystic Falls Morgue, killing the Coroner and his assistant. Adrian then left Mystic Falls with Katherine, being dropped off in New York City. Adrian had wandered around the town, and had found another Vampire, who took him in and showed him how a Vampire "should" act. The person who took him in was Russell Edgington, the founder of the Anti-Mainstreamist group called the Sanguinistas. Even though he's not Russell's Progeny, he is treated as such, and is one of Russell's strongest Vampires.
