He lived in the town of Bon Temps with his wife and two children when the Civil War began. In 1862, he went off to serve as First Lieutenant in the 28th Louisiana Infantry. After the war, Bill took a shortcut on his way home and got lost. Weak and without food, he found a cabin in which the seductive vampire Lorena Krasiki posed as a widow and gave him food and shelter. When she began to make sexual advances toward Bill, he refused her and upheld his morals as a married man. Intrigued and stunned, the vampire decided to turn him into a vampire, instead of solely feeding on him and killing him
1865 Bill was made vampire by Lorena, the supposed widow who aided him. Unable to return to his previous life with his wife and children, he did not return to Bon Temps until the death of his son Thomas in 1868.
1905 Bill and Lorena settled in San Francisco for a time, and frequented visit the Comstock Brothel run by Pamela Swynford De Beaufort. The pair delighted in torturing and slowly draining the prostitutes there. However, the much older and more powerful vampire Eric Northman interceded at the behest of Pam, easily subduing Lorena and repelling the newly turned Bill, when he attempted to protect her. Frightened of Northman, Lorena quickly left, after apologizing to Pam and agreeing to pay $500 for every prostitute they drained.
1910 Bill briefly visits his aged daughter while she is on her deathbed. When she asks him to turn her into a vampire because she is afraid to die, Bill refuses her request stating immortatlity is a curse.
1926 Lorena and Bill were lovers. Posing as French tourists in Chicago, they tricked and viciously fed on a well-off couple, the lady of which had a valuable necklace. Mid-feeding, Bill took the necklace and gave it to Lorena.
1935 Bill and Lorena lived in Los Angeles, California. Grown tired of his murderous lifestyle, Bill begged Lorena for her to release him. When she refused, Bill admitted that he never really loved her, even retorting that she had been and always would be a sad and lonely creature. When Lorena's anger flared up, Bill threatened to stake himself. In tears, Lorena finally relented and let Bill go.
1982 Met Nan Flanagan in London, England. Nan mentions among other things to Bill, about fellow vampire Louis Pasteur and other vampires trying to create an alternate source of food for vampires. Nan requests Bill's assistance in disrupting vampire hierarchy.

Going out to Merlotte's one night, Bill met Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress there, and was enthralled at first sight. He was even more intrigued when Sookie saved him from being drained by Mack and Denise Rattray. Sookie immediately removed the silver from his body to aide him. ("Strange Love") Bill was able to return the favor the next night, when the Rattrays returned for revenge.
Sookie was badly hurt, and to heal her Bill gave her his blood to drink. Sookie invited him to come over to her home the next night. After meeting Sookie's grandmother, who was very interested in him, Bill agreed to speak in front of the Descendants of the Glorious Dead later in the week about his experiences in the Civil War.
A day or two before this meeting, he took Sookie to Fangtasia in order to find out information about the killings in Bon Temps. On the way back, they were pulled over by an overzealous cop whom Bill glamoured to leave them alone. Shocked by the world to which she was being exposed, Sookie made it clear that she didn't want to see Bill again.
Despite their rough night, Bill upheld his promise to Sookie's gran and spoke in front of her club at the church while Sookie attended with Sam Merlotte. Bill made quite an impression on those with ancestors in the Civil War and was presented with a photograph of his family from the 1860s by Mayor Norris. That evening, Sheriff Bud Dearborne and Detective Andy Bellefleur stopped by Bill's house to question him about the killings in town.
Later that evening, both Bill and Sam came upon Sookie who had just found her gran dead in her kitchen. ("Sparks Fly Out") ("Cold Ground")
After Adele Stackhouse's funeral, Sookie, sick of the horrible things people were thinking about her, needed to be close to Bill. They had sex for the first time and Sookie let him bite her for the first time. ("Cold Ground") As their relationship began to develop, former nest mates of Bill's; Malcolm, Liam and Diane showed up at Merlotte's to get Bill's attention by scaring the locals. After Bill came and left with them in order to draw them away from Merlotte's, Sookie called and left him phone messages to warn him about some of the locals. As she feared, the vampire nest was burned down the next day with four coffins full of blood and remains.
Fortunately, Bill had received her messages and spent the day buried in the Bon Temps graveyard. He came over to Sookie's the next night, where he helped Sookie babysit Arlene's kids. Bill - ordered by his Sheriff, Eric Northman - brought Sookie back to Fangtasia. Her telepathic talents were needed to sniff out whomever had stolen $60,000 from the business. When Sookie uncovered that the vampire Longshadow was the thief, he staked him before he could attack Sookie.
Bill immediately reacted and staked him through the heart, protecting Sookie. Despite his noble intentions, Eric called Bill away to a tribunal hearing for the murder. During his time away Bill asked Sam to watch over Sookie
At the tribunal hearing, Bill presented his case to the Magister, head of the tribunal. The Magister, feeling creative, decreed Bill's punishment to be to create a new vampire in place of the one he had murdered. Bill was presented with a young, teenage human girl named Jessica. After significant reluctance, he drained her blood, replacing it with his own, and turned her into a vampire. With Bill having been absent from Bon Temps for some time, Sookie and Sam had spent a lot of time together. Sookie did not expect Bill to return, as he did not come to her aid when she was fleeing the killer during Arlene and René's engagement party.
When she awoke in the ground, Bill tried to teach Jessica the ropes of mainstreaming, only to find that her new found freedom made her extremely difficult to control. He took her to Eric, requesting that her time learning be spent at Fangtasia. Bill's arrival was just in time for Sookie and Sam's first kiss. At the sight of this, he ran at Sam looking for a fight. Sookie finally broke it up by telling off both of them and rescinding Bill's invitation to her house.
Despite their fight, Bill felt Sookie's fear the next day as she was being chased down by the killer, Drew Marshall (a.k.a. René Lenier). He came out to save her, but in the sunlight he slowly burned to a crisp. With Sam's help, Sookie killed René and quickly tried to bury Bill to get him out of the light. Sookie assumed the worst, but that night Bill arrived at her door, healed and having fed. With their relationship rekindled, things went smoothly for the next two weeks until Eric came to unload Jessica - now a nuisance to him - back on Bill.
With Jessica now living under his roof, Bill laid down the rules in his house. He made clear there was to be no feeding, and provided her with different Tru Blood mixes to find one she preferred. Bill could now not avoid introducing Jessica to Sookie Stackhouse, who immediately got mad at Bill for having failed to mention Jessica in the past two weeks. Her anger was fueled when she discovered that Bill was responsible for the death of her old Uncle Bartlett, who had molested her as a child. ] After Bill recited a touching monologue ending in, "I love you", Sookie returned the phrase and they had make up sex. ("Nothing but the Blood") While Bill was out the next night shopping for Jessica, Sookie secretly took Jessica to "just drive by" her old house. When Jessica impulsively ran inside and things started to go awry, Bill stormed in just in time and glamored the traumatized family's memories away.
Angry at Sookie for undermining his authority, Bill got mad enough that she stormed out of the car about 20 miles from Bon Temps. When she didn't return and Bill heard her scream, he ran to Sookie's aid to find her with deep cuts in her back. His attempt to heal her with his blood did not work, and so Bill took Sookie to Fangtasia where Eric called on Dr. Ludwig to save her. After Sookie healed she made a deal with Eric to travel to Texas, Bill insisted on escorting her.
Arriving home, Bill found Jessica on top of a moaning Hoyt. He threw her off in fear that she was feeding and proceeded to kick Hoyt out.
After arriving in Dallas with Sookie and Jessica, Sookie was in the middle of a kidnapping attempt by the limo driver that met them at the airport. Sensing that Sookie was in danger, Bill sprang out of his traveling coffin to stop the kidnapper, showing his fangs in the process. After teaching Jessica how to glamour a human, Bill learned that the driver was working for the Fellowship of the Sun church led by Steve Newlin. Even after Bill's objection, Sookie volunteered to infiltrate the church to find Godric, the Vampire sheriff of Texas.
While Sookie was being imprisoned by the Fellowship, Bill was being held against his will by Lorena Krasiki, his maker. Being kept in his hotel room overnight, Bill and Lorena began to suffer the bleeds caused by them not resting during the day. After Sookie called Barry using her telepathy, Barry then delivered the message that Sookie was indeed in trouble. However, upon delivering this message, Barry was attacked by Lorena. During her feeding, Bill used the flat-screened TV in his room to knock Lorena out saving Barry in the process.
He then went to Jessica's hotel room, finding Jessica and Hoyt having sex. Bill then told Hoyt to take Jessica to Bon Temp before the sun rose. Bill made his way to the Fellowship church to rescue Sookie just in time for the Texas vampire sects confrontation of Newlin and his churches attempt to sacrifice Eric to the sun. It wasn't until Godric's intervention that the church's congregation was spared by the vampire attack led by Stan Davis. While at Godric's nest, Bill tried to explain why he didn't rescue Sookie.
Lorena arrived to taunt Sookie and told her why Bill didn't help her. Even at Bill's warning, Sookie lashed out at Lorena for Bill not loving her. It was because of Godric's intervention that Sookie was spared. While outside talking to Lorena, Bill was spared from Luke McDonald's suicide bomb. After attacking the Soldiers of the Sun that accompanied Luke, Bill ran inside to the nest. Much to Bill's dismay, he saw Sookie trying to save Eric from the silver shrapnel, drinking his blood at the same time.
Bill explained to Sookie that Eric wouldn't have been killed by the silver and that she was tricked into drinking his blood. After Godric committed suicide by meeting the sun, Bill returned to Bon Temps. After waking up at night, Bill saw Maxine Fortenberry under the influence of the Maenad, Maryann Forrester.
Bill and Sookie traveled to Sookie's house to see Maryann. Maryann attacked Sookie in the process of Sookie seeing telepathically that it was Maryann that attacked Sookie during their trip to Jessica's house. Bill attacked Maryann biting her in the process, much to Maryann's delight. Bill reacted to Maryann's blood much like a human does to poison. While Bill was suffering from this blood, he was able to witness Sookie's new ability which she used on Maryann.
Being saved by Sookie this time, Bill had to feed on Sookie to counteract Maryann's blood. Sookie and Bill then traveled to Lafayette's to figure out what Maryann was. Bill learned from Lafayette that Eric was forcing him to sell Vampire blood. Witnessing Tara being influenced by Maryann, Bill glamoured Tara while Sookie probed her mind telepathically, releasing Tara from Maryann's influence while learning about what Maryann was doing. After Sookie recited the chant Maryann recited, Bill had a flashback of a book he read back in the 1940's
Bill then traveled to request an audience with Sophie-Anne Leclerq, The Vampire queen of Louisiana. There he learned of Maenads and how to kill them. At the same time, he conversed with Hadley Hale, Sookie's cousin. Upon leaving Sophie's mansion, he ran into Eric who was looking into the Maenad at Sam Merlotte's request. It was there that Bill threatened to expose Eric's dealing of Vampire Blood, not knowing that Eric was doing it at Sophie-Ann's request.
Bill traveled back to Bon Temps to take Sam to be sacrificed to The God Who Comes, while telling Sam how to kill Maryann. Maryann was killed by the shapeshifting Sam in the guise of a bull. After Maryann's influence came to an end, Bill took Sookie to a French restaurant near Bon Temps and proposed to her. While Sookie went to the bathroom to make her decision, Bill was kidnapped.
Bill’s captors are revealed to be werewolves working for the vampire king of Mississippi, Russell Edgington. Enraged at their mistreatment of Bill during his transportation to Mississippi (they had apparently been given orders not to harm him), Edgington shoots one of them as an example to the others and orders Bill to accompany him to his home.
After their arrival it is made clear to Bill that he is a prisoner at the king’s mansion, though Edgington insists that he is an honored guest. Apparently eager to wed the queen of Louisiana (Sophie-Anne Leclerq) and expand his kingdom, Russell encourages Bill to supply him with information that could help change Sophie-Anne’s mind with regards to marrying him. Bill tries to explain that he has no special relationship with the queen and thus cannot help, but Russell seems unconvinced. During their conversation Bill’s maker, Lorena enters the room dressed in riding garb. Enraged at seeing her again, Bill loses his temper and throws an oil lamp at her, setting her on fire. Lorena is however only inconvenienced by the blaze and quickly heals, and Russell makes it clear to Bill that he doesn't care for such behavior in his home.
The vampire king continues in his attempts to acquire Bill's assistance, tacitly implying that it would be in Sookie's best interests for him to be cooperative (much to Bill's discomfort). Apparently choosing to serve Russell, Bill makes a show of renouncing his loyalty to Sophie-Anne and pledges his allegiance to Mississippi. Lorena, angered that Russell had reneged on an earlier promise to allow her to kill Sookie, storms out of the room. She later visits Bill in his room and makes it apparent that she considers his oath to Russell no more than a ploy to protect Sookie. Angrily telling her that she had once again stolen his humanity, Bill begins to have rough and unusual sex with her, during which he yells out in rage, clearly horrified at what he is doing.
After Bill has had sex with Lorena, he calls Sookie and tells her he no longer wants a relationship. He admits to making love with Lorena. He tells Lorena to get out of his room and when she doesn't leave he punches her in the face, causing her to fly back into the hall way. Later while meeting with the King he tells that Eric was selling V and he suspects it was under the Queen's bidding. The next night Bill, Lorena, and the King go to a strip club. Bill is sent inside to get a dancer to feed off of. He finds a girl, and quickly glamours her. Bill takes her to the limo, where the three of them feed from her.
Back at the mansion Bill sees Tara Thornton abducted by Franklin and brought to Russell's mansion. He refuses to help her and leaves. Later after the arrival of Eric Northman at Russell's mansion, Bill declares that Sookie is no longer his. The next night Russell question Bill about the file he kept on Sookie. Russell believes the Stackhouse genealogy research Franklin found in Bill's study is for Sophie-Anne, and when Bill denies it Russell has him taken to his room. Coot comes to visit Bill, and tells him that Sookie is having sex with a werewolf. This enrages Bill to the point where he's able to overpower both Coot and the guard and escape. He goes to Alcide's apartment and warns Sookie that she is in danger and must leave town. Seconds later Coot and Russell break in, subdue him and take Sookie.
Both Bill and Sookie are brought to Russell's mansion. Bill succeeds in killing the vampire guard that was holding him and tries to kill the King, but fails. An enraged Russell orders Lorena to take Bill and stake him. He is taken to a shack where Lorena tortures him until daybreak. Bill expresses his disgust for Lorena and the wish to have met her when she was human. In the morning Coot and Debbie come to the shack and with Lorena's permission start to drink Bill's blood.
After the two leave Sookie enters the shack intending to save Bill but before she can do anything she is attacked by Lorena.
After she tastes Sookie, Bill gets up and wraps his chains around Lorena's neck and brings her to the ground with himself signaling Sookie to stake her. After she does he passes out, and Alcide and Tara come in and help wrap bill up to protect him from the sun. But before they can leave Debbie comes in with a gun. Tara gets the gun from her, and Cooter comes in after that. Alcide shoots him in the heart then in the head before he could shift. He holds off Debbie so they can leave and locks her in. They put bill in the back of his truck and Sookie goes in with him even though Tara protests it. Then the wolf guards start coming after them, so the drive off Alcide runs into one and they get away. Sookie cuts her wrist with a rusty saw to feed bill; he takes the blood still weakened and gets up, bites her in the neck, and drains her. They stop the truck and check up on her.
Since they heard nothing they opened up the back of the truck and find her almost dead. Tara kicks bill out into the sun and they drive off. Mysteriously, Bill barley burns and runs off. That night they rush Sookie to the hospital where she is still unconscious. Bill comes back and offers to save Sookie. Jason backs bill up and it works he gave her his blood while she was in fairy land. She comes back and screams when she sees him and then she breaks up with him a min later.
Awhile later Bill finally comes home and tries to release Jessica. Bill teaches her how to fight. Afterwards they go to Sookie's house to kill off the wolves that Russell, the King, sent. Jessica chases one outside but gets caught by the king and he bites her. Bill mocks him and calls him out. Russell releases Jessica and sics a wolf on her but she fights back, drains the wolf and kills him. Bill fights the king but the king quickly overpowers him. The king stops short of killing Bill when he senses Talbot meeting the true death at Eric's hand. Bill goes inside and has make up sex with Sookie
Bill and Sookie appear to make up. Sookie however; bemoaning that she was meeting Bill half-way to becoming a vampire- after not being surprised to find a dead body in her house. Bill informs Sookie that he is keeping a file on her to figure out what she is. The next day he has a dream state encounter with Claudine (apparently another effect of drinking so much of Sookie's blood)
Bill tells Sookie the truth of her existence and tells her that he to met Claudine, he also tells her that the Fey were believed to be wiped out years ago by vampires. As Bill is watching TV and see's Russell's angry killing of the TV news anchor, Eric comes to the house he and Bill have a discussion about Sookie, that is interrupted by the woman herself. Bill down-plays the effect of Sookie's blood to Eric so as to protect. Later on Bill gets angry at Jason for allowing Sookie to escape, Jason get's angry and rescinds his invitation.
Bill goes to Fangtasia sensing Sookies fear (she was chained by Eric) he quickly overpowers Pam, but she manages to subdue him using silver spray, he is saved when Yvetta and Sookie. As Sookie and Bill are driving back from Fangtasia they have a touching conversation about starting over again. This is interrupted by Russell and Eric nearly breaking Sookie's car. When they arrive back at Fangtasia Eric reveals to Bill that he has a plan to dispose of Russell. Inside Fangtasia Bill goes along with Eric's pretense that Sookie is a fairy. She screams that she will never forgive him and that she hates him.
In the finale Bill gives Sookie his blood so she can survive, when she wakes she immediately slaps him, he then angrily reveals to her the plan. She, is still angry at him, storms outside despite his warnings. When Sookie saves Eric, Bill gets angry and sides with Pam that they should not save Russell. However Russell is saved by Sookie. Later on he and Eric encase Russell in cement and taunt him as he is drowning, Bill then does the same to Eric by handcuffing him in silver and throwing him into a separate pit. He then calls Reuben and orders him to kill Pam. Bill then reveals to Sookie what he was going to do in order to protect her. However an Eric who is covered in cement knocks on the door and reveals to Sookie why Bill was actually here, and how Bill tricked her into nearly getting beaten to death by the Ratrays and drinking his blood. A distraught Sookie then rescinds her invitation from her house and Bill is forced to leave. A distraught Bill then invites Sophie-Ann to his house on the false pretense of having Sookie there to feed on, after he flatters the queen he proceeds to challenge her to a duel, she scorns him saying that she is over twice his age, he replies that he has nothing left to live for the two levitate and charge towards each other.
Bill, sensing that Sookie has returned, arrives at her home after nightfall. It appears he is happy that Sookie is alive, yet Sookie reminds him that to her it's only been 15 minutes since he broke her heart. Eric shows up soon after and tells Sookie that everyone, including Bill has forgotten about her. Bill tells Sookie that she can use the ruse of having secret vampire business. This would also help prove that Bill wasn't involved in her disappearance, as most people believed. It is revealed that Bill is now the Vampire King of Louisiana. One of the younger witches from the circle, Katerina, reports to Bill that the coven brought Marnie's bird back to life. Bill tells her that her work spying for him in the coven is done and that it's no longer safe. She unbuttons her top, and Bill takes her to his bed. Sookie heads up the stairs and greets Bill just as Katerina, who is still getting dressed and has his bite marks on her neck, is walking out of his bedroom. Sookie tells Bill that Eric has purchased her house with the intent of owning her, and asks Bill to use his royal influence to order Eric to give back her house and leave her alone. Bill tells her that Eric has friends in high places, but he'll do what he can to help her. Until he can figure out a work-around, he advises Sookie to find shelter in another human's home. Sookie asks what good that would do if Eric can buy that one too. Sookie bids Bill good night, calling him "Your Excellency."
Then she asks how Bill became King, he balks, and she decides not to press the issue, telling him "If there's one thing I learned from us being together, it's that every time I found out something new about you, I ended up wishing I didn't know it." As she walks out, Bill looks utterly pained and heartbroken. A flashback then shows Bill having Sophie Anne meet her True Death.
We then see Bill in 1982. Bill, in full punk-rock get-up with spiky hair and a motorcycle jacket, he goes to a bar where a band is playing onstage. He goes to the bar and strikes up a conversation with the bartender using a cockney accent. He buys the bartender a drink, and is next seen drinking from Callum's neck in an alley. Callum is struggling, but then Bill glamors him. Under Bill's influence, he comes to believe that none of this has happened and that he'll just feel a bit weak for the next few days. Bill heals the bartender's wounds and sends him running off. "You don't kill them," says a female voice behind him. Bill quickly turns around and shows his fangs, to see Nan Flanagan wearing an '80s power suit. Nan is impressed that Bill seems to want to fit in, and recruits Bill to join their cause of mainstreaming, explaining that the greatest minds in the vampire legions, including Louis Pasteur are working on synthesizing human blood that vampires can survive on. She tells Bill that she's looking for a few good vampire spies to infiltrate the monarchies and plant the seeds of discord from within.
"So," she concludes, "Are you in, or are you out?" Back in the present, we see that Bill looks troubled by just how far in that he is.
Bill gets a visit from a very guilty Jessica, who has just cheated on Hoyt or at least in a vampire version of cheating and isn’t sure what to do. This brings to light Bill’s deceptions to Sookie, and creates a sweet moment between the maker and his progeny.
Bill visits Pam at Fangtasia. He is questioning the whereabouts of Eric, but Pam tells him she knows nothing. Later, Nan pays a visit to Bill, angry for making him go near wiccans. She forces him to take care of the situation personally. Bill approaches Sookie's home looking for Eric. He threatens to come into her home and look for Eric, but she stops him. She tells him that she has never once lied to him, and Bill believes her. He leaves without searching for Eric.
Bill has to glamour Portia after she continued to hit on him. She now screams and runs from him anytime she see's him. Pam visits Bill and insists on his help in reversing the spell on her face.
Bill has Marnie captured, but after glamoring her for information, he finds out that Marnie doesn't know how to reverse the spell. While attending a meeting with local vampire sheriff's, Pam accidentally tells Bill about Eric. He finds out that Sookie has been keeping Eric all along, and lied to him.
After hearing that Sookie is hiding Eric, Bill appears in her home; interrupting the moment between she and Eric. Eric attacks Bill and almost stakes him, but stops when Sookie yells. She explains that Bill is his king, making Eric put the fire poker down and bow. Bill apprehends Eric, saying he is a threat. Later, Bill is about to give Eric his true death, when Eric begins to explain his love for Sookie. Bill let's him and Pam go.
Bill is pouring Tru Blood from a decanter when Luis wanders, still under Marnie's control. A struggle ensues, during which Luis shoots Bill with a silver bullet and Louis ends up forcing a silver and wooden stake into his own heart, whispering the word “resurrection” before exploding. Bill explains to his sheriffs that Antonia/Marnie will cast a spell to force every nearby vampire to meet the sun the next morning. To avoid mass incineration, he instructs the vampires, as well as all of the vampires in their areas, to bind themselves with silver in their coffins, which will prevent them from heeding the call to turn up the sun. Bill later visits Sookie and Eric before morning, and silently deduces that they have slept together. Nevertheless, he has come to help Eric survive the next day, bringing multiple silver chains. He explains the situation to them and instructs them to bind Eric if they want him to survive. Somehow, the spell allows Jessica to break some of her silver chains (out of sympathy for her pain, Bill had unwisely placed less silver on her than on himself), which allows to to escape her cage after knocking out a security guard and stealing his keys. She ignores a direct order from Bill to free him as well but since he as her maker, released her. His status as king has no effect as he could not order her because of the spell. Jessica, still under the spell, attacks Jason and almost bites him. Jessica snaps out of it however, and draws back her fangs. She tells Jason that he saved her life and the two begin to kiss. Meanwhile, Bill is screaming for Jessica and crying at the thought of her death. Jason carries Jessica back to her cell and Bill is relieved to see her alive. Jessica's face is burned and she is upset when she discovers she killed Bucky. Bill calms Jessica then suggests she get back into the cell because Antonia may have only temporarily dropped the spell. Jason binds Jessica in silver. Bill comments how he underestimated her strength. Bill tells Jason that they are indebted to him. While ready to leave, Jason sees the body on the floor and Bill tells him that he cannot afford to have it reported in any way. Eric tells Bill that Sookie has a warrior’s heart and she is prepared to fight for Bill. Sookie tells Bill she can help, she has powers. Bill tells her she could die and she tells him if she can save people she loves she is willing. The two factions meet in the graveyard, the situation escalates as Antonia reveals she's not alone, while Bill is joined not only by Eric and Sookie but also his human commandos as well as a number of vampires.
Alcide carries Sookie away from the battlefield and as he runs Bill intercepts him and grabs Sookie. Bill brings her to the house and lays her on the sofa and tries to get her to drink his blood. Bill tells Alcide they have to pray as she barely has a pulse. Sookie eventually wakes after Bill's blood saved her. She instantly asks where Eric is and barely acknowledges Alcide's presence, much less the part he had in saving her life. Alcide is frustrated with Sookie and angrily leaves her home.
Bill, Jessica and Nan are all silvered below Bill's home. Bill tells Nan they must cancel tomorrow’s “Festival of Tolerance” event because Eric is missing. Bill and Nan Flanagan clash over their respective agendas. Nan tells him the festival is going forward and Bill had better be in a tolerant mood.
Sookie gets to the festival just as they are introducing Bill. Antonia and Roy are watching in the balcony. Bill begins to make his speech when Sookie calls for him from the crowd. The 3 human security guards are gutted and hanging from the grips of the bewitched vampires. The people panic and begin to run. Sookie screams ‘RUN’.
The scene opens at "Festival of Tolerance", as Antonia is trying to get her subjects to kill the king. Sookie tries to let Eric's grip on Bill go but Eric pushes her down and Bill shoots him. Kirsch (under the spell of Martonia) slaps Joyce Watney. Nan takes a pencil to Blackburn and Eric and Bill are fighting. Sookie uses her powers to get Eric to stop fighting. Eric suddenly gets his memories back, he also remembers his time with Sookie. Antonia sees all the Blood shed and then casts a spell and disappears. Sookie says she still loves Bill and that’s how she was able to stop Eric from killing Bill. Later, Eric, Bill, Pam and Jessica arrive at the Moon Goddess Emporium to take out the witches.
Eric, Pam, Bill and Jessica are getting ready to blow up Moon Goddess Emporium. Jesus, Lafayette, Sookie, Holly, Tara and the other witches are inside. All of them are terrified except for Marnie. She calmly insists that her spell will protect them and jokes about the situation. Her attitude causes Casey to get mad and attack her. Marnie, defending herself, flings a knife at her magically, killing her. The vampires are ready to attack, they are interrupted by Jason who explains that Sookie is inside. This prompts Eric and Bill to say "F**kin' Sookie" causing Jason to stand up for his sister and he shows them the protection spell around the Emporium. Eric and Bill try to think of another way to get inside and how to disable the spell. Suddenly, Kirsch and Duprez come out of seemingly nowhere, attacking the vampires. Bill kills Duprez. He grabs a handful of the former sheriff, holding it over a subdued Kirsch in an attempt to snap her out of Marnie's mind control. Eric states she must be killed, but not before Pam pulls Kirsch's "vintage Cartier" necklace from her neck. A reluctant Bill asks if there is any way to break the conditioning, as it was done with Eric. Eric suggests it might be possible when Kirsch professes her loyalty to Antonia. Frustrated, Bill picks Kirsch up and slams her face first into the pavement, then calls out Marnie to break the spell on Kirsch.
Holly and Sookie speak to Marnie Stonebrook and persuade her to negotiate with the vampires outside. She agrees, as long as Sookie goes with her. Once outside, she gives the "kill the king" command to Kirsch, who once again attacks Bill. Bill throws Kirsch into the force field, where she gets caught and burns to death. Marnie lets everyone know the force field is solar-powered, then tells Bill and Eric that she will free Sookie if they both kill themselves. They agree, but before they have chance to, Pam fires a rocket to stop them. The shield stops the rocket, which explodes toward those outside the shield. None of the vampires are seriously hurt, but the blast severely burns Jason. Jessica has to feed Jason some of her blood so that he can heal. Furious, Eric berates Pam for attacking Marnie with Sookie standing there, as Sookie could have been killed by the blast.
Marnie and Sookie go back inside and she tells her coven that they need to band together if they are going to survive the vampire attack (even though she only saw herself killed). Reluctantly, the others join her in a circle, even Sookie. Marnie casts a spell which causes the vampires to walk towards the shield, which will kill them. Jason tries to pull Jessica and Bill away from the shield. He cries to Sookie in his head for her to stop whatever is going on. Using her fairy powers, she breaks the spell. Lafayette and Jesus are able to separate Antonia's spirit from Marnie. Marnie cries in despair, seeing her grand scheme falling to pieces.
Outside, the vampires see the protection shield go down. Pam tries to apologize to Eric, saying she knew the rocket wouldn't penetrate the shield. Eric, still pissed, tells Pam to leave before he kills her. Shattered, Pam dashes away. Bill and Eric rush inside Moon Goddess to kill everyone, but Sookie stops them, telling them that the majority of people in there were being held hostage by Marnie. Bill aims a gun at Marnie but Roy stands in her way, saying they'll have to go through him to get to Marnie. Eric rushes up to him and pulls his heart out, sucking the blood from it like a straw in front of a horrified Marnie. Bill then takes aim at Marnie, who berates Bill saying "Nobody lives forever--not even you!" As the words leave her mouth, Bill shoots Marnie multiple times, including a final shot into her forehead.
Afterward, Eric glamours several people in the area under Bill's orders. Unsure of her feelings and stunned from the recent rescue/attack, Sookie can do little but stand and stare at both Bill and Eric.
Tara goes to check up on Lafayette only to find Jesus inside. She drives all the way to Merlotte's to warn Sookie and Holly. They predict that Marnie would go after Bill and Eric and drive over to Bill's house to find both Vampire's chained in silver and tied to a post over a pile of wood. Lafayette/Marnie appears and Tara begs her to stop. She refuses and sets fire to the wood under Bill and Eric. Sookie uses her gift to push Lafayette out of a circle of salt that Holly had made and his face becomes demonic. Holly, Sookie and Tara begin chanting a spell that creates a barrier around the circle and causes spirits from the graveyard, including Antonia and Sookie's Gran to appear in front of them.
Antonia blows out the fire like a candle and Gran pulls Marnie out of Lafayette's body. Antonia then persuades Marnie to forget her rage for the vampires and come to the afterlife with her. Sookie asks her Gran to stay, saying that she's lost and doesn't know what to do without her. Gran replies saying that she can't stay and that Sookie knows in her heart what to do. She then goes with the other ghosts back to the netherworld.
At Bill's, Nan Flanagan arrives with three V-Feds and tells Bill and Eric that she quit the AVL and The Authority. She also says that there's a price on the two's heads and that she requests them to join her in a mutiny against the Authority. They respond by killing the guards and Nan.
Bill makes a phone call to Jessica telling her that he'll be out of town for a while and that she has nothing to worry about. So Bill tells Jessica that while he's gone his home to available to her, within reason. Eric in the background is quickly cleaning up Nan's bloody mess. After Bill is off the phone he begins to help Eric scrub the floor when he suddenly feels Sookie is in danger. But Eric then stops Bill saying to forget about Sookie being she dumped both of them, so Bill continues cleaning. Bill feels her danger again and then gives in. So he speeds out the house and suddenly an Authority task force runs out and pins Bill down with a silver net. Eric then attempts to escape but he too is then pinned down. Bill and Eric are then tossed into the trunk of a car.
Inside the trunk Bill and Eric devise a plan to escape. Eric reaches behind him and grabs an umbrella. He then pokes a hole in the cars gas tank and then the two find a way to make a fire to blow up the car. From the explosion Bill has a metal chunk from the car jabbed into his shoulder. Eric comes for him and despite Bill's demand to be left Eric tells Bill he won't leave him. Then one of the vampire kidnappers walks out from the fire. Bill and Eric get ready to fight him but the kidnapper is suddenly destroyed by Nora, Eric's "sister". Nora is a double agent and planned to have Bill and Eric kidnapped to help them escape The Authority. Nora leads them to a dock and they take ground in a Cargo Bed. The next night they meet a group of vampires. There Bill and Eric are new identities from Cat Ingerslev. Bill is now to go by "Marcelus Clark". suddenly the vampires around them begin to die and the Authority task force comes out and surrounds Bill, Nora, and Eric.
Nora, Bill and Eric are transported to an unknown facility. Salome meets them as they are unloaded from the armored truck used to transport them. She takes them down to private cells and locks them inside. They are questioned via a camera/monitor on the ceiling. Eric asks Bill what they should do now that they are locked away. They then hear from Nigel Beckford, an insane, baby-eating vampire who is also locked inside the cells. Bill says that Nora and Eric are both innocent. With the Authority believing Bill is lying, they use a UV light machine to burn all of them. They all keel over in agony until the light is shut off. They are separated and tortured. Bill is taken before Dieter Braun. In the next room, Eric is undergoing the same interrogation, but the interrogator is Salome. Salome tells Eric that Nora's betrayal was unforgivable and that she has met the true death. Eric shows the hurt on his face, but doesn't say a word. When Salome asks who murdered Nan Flanagan Eric questions "Nan Flanagan is dead?". Salome hits a button, injecting Eric with silver liquid and he doubles over in agony. Salome then tells Eric that Bill has been freed for his cooperation and that he'll be reinstated as King. Eric doesn't buy it, and simply says "Long live the King", then get's more silver injected into him.
Eric and Bill are lead into a room with the Authority. Roman enters from a a side door. Before speaking to them, he holds a type of communion with the blood of Roman (which he takes from his own wrist to symbolize that of Lilith's). One by one, he drops a blood into the mouths of each member. After the ceremony, Roman turns to Bill and Eric, stating he hates to meet under these circumstances. Nora is pulled out of the room, and Eric shows he wants to help her, yet he is bound and cannot. She yells out "I am innocent", before disappearing. Roman sits and starts to discuss of the errors they have made. The launcher used on main street, the fight breaking out between vampires and humans during the Festival of Tolerance. He tells them that they are the Authority, just as Nan was. He then tells them they will see the True death. Roman also asks about the Sanguistion movement. Bill says he knows nothing about it, and Eric says he tries to stay out of politics.
The Authority has a meeting before them. They all believe they should meet the True death. Roman says that mainstreaming is the only way to live. That they must co-exist with humans. Salome opens a briefcase and pulls out a stake for Roman. Bill speaks up when asked if they have any final words. He says he will offer up an exchange."Our lives in return for Russell Edgington." Roman was told by Nan that Russell was dead but Bill assured him that Eric and he put him in the ground but did not kill him. Eric states that Russell has broken free. Whether they live or die, the Authority will find out soon enough. Bill says that Russell will obliterate the Authorities cause. Roman, in vampire speed stands behind Bill with a stake. Angry that he allowed the happenings with Russell. Eric yells out "quiet!", and that he was the one who did it. Roman is mad that Bill, a king, allowed it. Roman pulls back and says he cannot go on personal desires. Bill states that Russell will stop at nothing to kill Eric and Bill, and when he does, Roman will be there to put an end to him as they should have
The Authority continues to debate what to do with Bill and Eric for leaving Russell Edgington alive. Roman assures them that he will take their opinions under advisement and sends them away, except Salome. Roman reveals to Eric and Bill that Russell has become a "poster boy" for Sanguinistas for what he did on public television. Roman makes it clear to them that he will not see mainstreaming ruined by one ancient, pissed off psychopath. Bill and Eric assure him that they understand and promise to bring Russell in or die trying. Roman dismisses them.
Molly, a bubbly vampire, requests for Bill and Eric to remove their shirts and places a device on them called the iStake. It is firmly strapped around their torsos and centered over their hearts. Molly tells them that the indestructible devices will pierce their heart faster than a bullet with the click of an application on her iPhone. She warns that atttempting to remove the iStake will also trigger it. Salome has Bill brought down to the Authority's basement. As they walk, Salome asks Bill if he knows who she is. Bill reveals what little details he knows, but Salome warns him not to believe everything in the Bible. Salome revealed that the Bible made her a convenient villain and a symbol for the dangers of female sexuality, but in actuality she was merely a girl with a troubled family. Bill then asked if she actually did ask for a man's head on a silver platter, and she said it was only politics. She further revealed that John denounced her mother's re-marriage to her uncle, the King. Wanting him silenced, she took advantage of her new husband's fondness for teenage virgins and traded Salome's body for revenge. Bill then asked about the dance of the Seven Veils, and Salome said she was wrapped sheer scarves when she was delivered to her uncle's bed where the supposed 'dance' began. Salome then reveals that she has been following Bill's upsurge for centuries and admires that he continues following his heart, something that vampires rarely do. Salome reveals that she wants to help him. When Bill asks why, Salome admits that something about Bill moves her, and that after two thousand years, she has learned to trust that feeling. When she asks Bill if she can trust him, Bill says how he can prove it when she already has his life in her hands. She said perhaps by letting him take her life with his. Bill then pins her against the wall and has sex with her.
Bill and Eric are seen in an elevator. Eric attempts to gloat about sleeping with Salome to Bill; Bill smiles, hinting of his sexual encounter with Salome before Eric. Bill tells Eric that gentlemen shouldn't brag about sloppy seconds, and Eric wonders what she wants. When the elevator doors open, a group of guards are seen waiting for them. In her coffin, Pam dreams of an encounter with Eric, Lorena Krasiki and a young Bill at her brothel just before she was turned. In one of the rooms, Lorena and Bill are shown feeding on one of Pam's girls. Eric walks in and stops them both. Bill attempts to stake Eric and Eric easily stops him. Amused, Eric introduces himself. Bill once again attempts to attack Eric, but Lorena stops him. Lorena pleads with Eric that Bill is still new and does not understand his vampire lifestyle yet. Eric notes Bill's bravery and loyalty to Lorena, as well as his surprising strength for a newborn. Eric also mentioned that killing a newborn that shows such promise would be a shame simply because his Maker did not teach him to respect elder vampires. Eric demands that Lorena apologize to Pam. Pam extorts five hundred dollars for each girl they drained. Bill rushes out and Eric warns Lorena to control him. Lorena follows Bill and Pam pays her debt by sleeping with Eric. Pam is shown back in her coffin in the present day, still sleeping as bloody tears begin to fall.
Bill and Eric climb out of the back of a jeep on a deserted back road. The guards that dropped them off throw them a set of car keys and drive off. Bill and Eric discuss who could have freed Russell Edgington. Eric says only four people knew where he was, him and Bill included. Bill hits the key's alarm to locate the car and tells Eric that he'll drive.
They go to Fangtasia and close the bar early to wait for Pam to return. When she arrives Pam shakes with relief seeing her Maker back. She says that no apologies are necessary between them and asks if they can let bygones be bygones. Pam notices that Bill is also present and explains that Tara is her progeny. She tells Eric that he is a grandfather. Disinterested, Eric asks Bill a moment alone with Pam. Bill takes Tara with him to the offices. Bill tries to reassure Tara about her new life and asserts that her impulses to kill herself will pass. Giving her a bottle of TruBlood, Bill asks if Sookie knows and if she's safe. Tara says that she does know, but that he needs to stop worrying about her above everything else and that he needs to move on. He asks again if she's safe. Tara says she is, as always, and that there's always someone there to take a bullet for her - like Tara did.
Eric walks into his office, and Tara calmly leaves. He tells Bill that Pam is innocent. Bill asks if Eric told anyone else about Russell, including his sister, offending Eric. Bill tells him that Russell is a great martyr for the Sanguinistas and if Nora is behind this, then Russell would be very useful to her cause. Eric says if she was planning something he would've known about it, and even then he wouldn't give her Russell. Eric then asks Bill if he told anyone, including Jessica. Bill says that if he did, he would have gone to her first. He then suggests they go to ground and keep searching the following night.
Bill and Jessica search his office for listening devices. Jessica asks if Bill is still the King of Louisiana. Bill responds that he is until he either meets the true death or the Authority change their minds. Bill finds a marijuana roach on the coach and holds it up Jessica. She nervously states that she had a few friends over, but no one was eaten or drained. Bill smiles and says that it is her home too and that she can take care of herself. He then sniffs the roach and says that it was low quality. Jessica smiles as Bill continues his search. She asks him if he is going to go see Sookie, explaining that she has had a rough time because of Debbie and Tara. Bill says that Jessica has already taken care of Sookie's problem by glamouring Andy, but to not make a habit of doing that for her. Jessica says that Sookie is falling apart and asserts that Bill and Sookie is different than Sookie and anyone else. Bill hugs Jessica and says that she should take care of herself first. Looking at her, he tells Jessica that he has done well as a Maker. Jessica smiles as Bill walks away.
Bill is watching Sookie making out with Alcide from outside her window. Eric arrives and says that they should be looking for Russell. Bill says that they are and believes Sookie can be useful in their search. Eric says Sookie might not want to help, but Bill says they won't give her the choice.
Sookie and Alcide continue making out on her couch. Alcide picks her up, takes her upstairs and both begin to undo their clothes. Once Sookie's shirt comes off, he proclaims he's been waiting a long time to sleep with her. Sookie suddenly throws up on Alcide's shoes. Bill and Eric stand idly by Sookie's door with Eric teasing Alcide about knowing how to treat a lady.
Sookie is sitting at her table with Bill and Eric while Alcide is cleaning his boots in the back. Bill requests Sookie to try and read Alcide's employee's mind, Doug, who was glamoured after Russell was freed. Alcide says he doesn't want Doug mixed up in vampire business, saying fangers bring nothing but trouble and death. Eric retorts that they don't need his permission. As they argue about the current situation with Russell, a still drunken Sookie then begins to hear all three men bark like dogs and starts to laugh. When they stop and realize, Sookie apologizes and admits that she felt if she makes the right choices that her life would go back to normal. Then she realizes that it's not going to change and comes to accept the fact that her life would always revolve around the supernatural. She grabs her jacket and goes with Bill and Eric to hunt Russell, Alcide also joining along.
Bill, Eric, Alcide and Sookie show up to meet Doug. Sookie asks if she could read his mind and he lets her. While he says he doesn't remember much, Sookie sees his thoughts and a woman approaches him but Sookie can't make out who it is. She then sees another of Doug's thoughts of this woman digging Russell out with her hands. A terribly weak and blood deprived Russell is seen being held and Sookie notices the woman wearing the same pendant the Authority wears. She tells this to Bill and Eric, and Bill accuses Eric of telling Nora about Russell, to which Eric promptly denies. Bill continues accusing Nora of freeing Russell and Eric deems it absurd, considering the great lengths Nora went through to free them both.
Eric and Bill argue in the back of the same truck. Bill wonders if Nora orchestrated in saving them both to deliver them to Russell. Eric asks Bill why he thinks she would to that. Bill says Russell can be a powerful ally to her cause, though he would never do it for free and if Nora were to serve them both to Russell then she can negotiate with him. Eric continues to ensure that Nora's not behind this and tried to help them, but Bill refuses to believe that. Eric says he's being paranoid, and Bill then retorts in questioning why Nora's still alive. Eric says he doesn't know. Bill says Nora is a traitor and a liar just like her brother -- Eric. In anger, Eric exposes his fangs and demands that Bill take back his words. Bill, also showing his fangs, suddenly gets a call on his phone. Molly tells them that their iStakes have been activated to go off by dawn. As they approach an abandoned asylum, Bill attempts to have him and Eric split to try and find Russell and tells Sookie she can wait outside with Doug and Alcide . Sookie deems that a poor idea and says it's best they stick together, considering her powers are the only thing that seem to have a success rate against Russell.
The search for Russell in the asylum continues. Alcide announces that they're being watched and a terrified Doug runs. He enters a room where living humans are hanging on chains, though most were out cold. One of the humans screams as Doug walks in and begs that it's not his turn yet because he's too skinny. Bill asks where they were taking the humans and the man said down the hall is where he could hear the screams. Eric and Bill head that direction with Sookie and Alcide behind them.
In the asylum, Eric and Bill approach Russell's room. Russell, now fully healed, wonders what took Eric and Bill so long.
Wolves attack Eric and Bill, leaving Sookie exposed. A still-weak but hungry Russell closes on Sookie, and is about to bite her when she suddenly manifests balls of faerie light from her hands, sending him flying against a wall. Before he can recover, Eric and Bill subdue their wolf attackers, and Eric grabs Russell by the throat. But before he can end him, Bill comes up behind Eric, holding him at bay with a stake. He proposes that they take Russell alive, reasoning that if they succeed, the Authority might spare them. Eric doesn't believe him. "Maybe you are ready to die. Maybe you're just bored after a thousand years. But you do not make that decision for me," Bill says. Before Eric can answer, the Authority's strike team lead by Councilman Kibwe swarms the building and tells the group that they'll take over from that point.
As Russell is being led away the council member asks Bill and Eric why Sookie and Alcide are there, and they make up a story about finding them, and Doug, along the way. "They know too much," Kibwe says, but Bill assures them that they'll be glamoured. The councilman agrees, leaving one of the team behind to witness it. Bill goes to Sookie and tells her to look him in the eyes. Bill tells Sookie that she'll remember nothing of the night, nothing of him or Eric. It will be as though they never met, Bill tells Sookie. But Bill is only pretending to glamour her, because as a fairy Sookie is not susceptible to it. Bill tells Sookie to live her life as she was meant to live it, in the sun with others like her. As a human.
Councilman Kibwe puts Bill and Eric into the back of a truck and tells them that the Authority will be pleased that they captured Russell. They ask if this means they'll be pardoned, and the councilmember tells them it's in Lilith's hands. As Bill and Eric are taken away, the councilmember moves to another truck, filled with Russell's victims...and Doug, who led Bill, Eric, Alcide and Sookie to Russell. They just want to get home. The Councilman smiles and asks them to fasten their seatbelts. After they comply, he bares his fangs and, with lightning speed, zips through the vehicle and slaughters everyone.
Bill and Eric return to the council, where their harnesses are removed and Roman toasts them with rare, 18th century Austrian hemophiliac blood. Salome tells Eric that Nora confessed to being a Sanguinista while they were gone, much to Eric's surprise. Roman tells Eric and Bill that by delivering Russell to the Authority, it means that they're with him. Bill plays along, but Eric will only say he's a "pacifist."
Bill is there to witness Russell's botched "execution"
After Bill, Eric, and the Chancellors witness Russell Edgington staking Roman to death, they prepare to attack, but are subdued by the Authority Police. Bill and Eric are put in a cell right next to Molly, who hasn't the faintest idea as to why the iStake that Russell wore would have malfunctioned and denies any part in the Sanguinista movement. Knowing Bill and Eric can eventually be swayed, Salome and Nora escort them to the meeting hall. It is revealed that they were both used to deliver Russell to them so Roman could be destroyed and the Sanguinistas could take over the Authority. While initially hostile, Bill and Eric agree to attend the initiation ceremony Salome and Nora have planned at the next sunset. Though uncertain as to whether he should partake in drinking Lilith's blood, he gives in and joins the others on a late-night human massacre in the French Quarter district of New Orleans. When Lilith manifests herself from a single drop of human blood, she sprays a mist of her blood in the air. The mist enhances the blood-lust in each of the vampires, with Bill feeding uncontrollably. .)' O u t o f C h a r a c t e r RP Sample - Quote :
- Bill sighed as he sat in his favorite chair reading a book. His blue eyes scanning the page with a bored look in his face. So far things have been quiet and though he liked it it was starting to get boring Turning the page he glanced up when he sensed someone entering the room. "Yes?" He asked the vamp guard that just entered.
The guard bowed and said "Sir there is a message for you something about an emergancy" Said the guard a bit nervous. Bill sighed as he stood up and walked to his office. Picking up the phone he gave a "what is it" and the person on the other end began screaming at him He quickly hung up the phone and sighed.
